I was holding out to buy a late model R3 until I finished school but I found an 07 classic "touring" edition for a deal I couldn't pass up. I have been looking at rockets for years, just could never find one I could afford.

I have a long history of buying and fixing/flipping old metrics, mostly Honda's, so I'll be making good use of the knowledge on this site to get me proficient on the Triumph and get started on mods.

Only dissapointment I have so far is the lack of stereo capable fairing options for the dual headlight rocket (need my tunes!)

Tunes? In the car, not while on the bike. Iv never understood why people install blasting stereos on a bike or in their cars and roll their windows down. My blasting stereo is in my radio room.

Welcome anyway. The rocket is hard to drive and tweaky to tune. The low end torque compensates for those faults.

Welcome from Scotland. 07 rocket is just called Rocket 111 classic. Tourer only has 1 headlight .

Welcome Tazithman, from Maine:) I didn't realize tourers ever came with the dual headlights.

In 07 they just made the one dual headlight rocket 3 which is referred to as the "classic". There was a touring version that was the same bike, but with factory bags and floorboards.

From what I read, triumph did this to judge intrest in a touring version of the rocket, then in 08 started making the single headlight tourer everyone knows about.

07 classic tourer. Came from the factory with bags with offset brackets, sissy bar w/luggage rack, floorboards w/heel toe shifter, and windshield.

I have hardbags to put on it but I want to paint them before I mount them and am having a hard time placing the blue color. One source says this year was graphite/eclipse blue and another source says graphite/pacific blue, both with different color codes. If anyone knows what blue this is, let me know please.
