That's the exact color R3T I had. The tops on the bags looked pretty smudged/scuffed up. But, that can probably be taken out with rubbing compound so long as it's not through the clear coat.

One thing to be aware of and to ask about. The first year had a poorly designed clutch lifter shaft. I was on my way to Maggie Valley with another rider and we were stopping at a light and I went to pull the clutch in and "pop". The clutch just breaks, felt like the cable broke. Got it towed to the dealer and a couple of days later found out it was the lift rod. Pretty sure it's a service bulletin issue so I would definitely check it out if you get the bike.

p.s. I don't know if it's due to that being the first year for the R3T or what, but that wasn't the only issue I had with mine. I had quite a few issues. Some of which were recall items. Anyway, the day I got rid of that thing was a happy day. By far the least reliable bike I've ever owned.

I bought mine with 6500 miles on it in 2010 and the clear was all scuffed up. I took all the painted parts to my painter and had the red color added. The tins that didn't have paint added were re-clear coated. It turned out great. Real shiny now! (Even after 8 years)

I broke a detent spring a few years ago so when it replaced it I put the upgraded clutch lifter in. If he buys it, re-grease the final drive spline shaft.

So, went from Okla. City to Odessa, TX (900 miles round trip) to look at the bike this weekend. Looked and sounded better than expected. Haggled from $6800 to $4900 and a nice full face helmet. We rode it home.

Ran like a striped a$$ed ape, held it at 80 except when passing, saw over 120 a few of times when passing, never a hiccup, had a blast all the way home. The transmission is like butter compared to my 08 touring and it runs stronger and sounds better than mine, and it still has the stock filter.

I think the oldest boy lucked into a solid bike.

where do you guys find these deals how come I am never that lucky?

So when do we all get together and go for a ride?:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I get off in 2 more hours, let’s ride!

Seriously... My bike is still in the shop, hoping for it this week, we shall see. Where you want to go? Talihina? Eureka Springs? Palo Duro? East Texas? I can tell you from recent experience there isn’t a lot to see in West Texas for a long way.
When can you get time to go?
What about you @skydog1000 & @mexican ... who else is there nearby?
