Success! After getting advice both by forum and PM, I downloaded the current map, uploaded the new modified map, changed the pipes over to the TOR's, everything worked as advertised. Absolutely no issue with using Windows 8, TuneECU 2.5.5, a Loneloc cable, and the current driver download instructions (loaded up correctly the 1st time). As others had mentioned, it took about 18 minutes to download the current map, about 8 minutes (if that long) to upload the modified map. Thanks to Dougl for pointing me in the right direction on how to modify my current map to the modified version. Thanks to Hanso, for insisting that the best thing you can do is download and read the manual, and play with TuneECU, until you feel comfortable. I was still concerned about doing it until I saw the program was initializing with the ECU, got the "Green", and completed all steps. Now, I would not hesitate to do it again. I haven't had a chance to put on more than about 7 miles since I completed it fairly late in the evening, but, it ran so well, I don't anticipate any problems, (keeping fingers crossed). Altogether, from start to finish, it was a 2.5 hour process to install the map, and change out the pipes. PS. I did find a TuneECU for Dummies document on another website, it really made the process easier to do step by step by cutting to the "meat" of the function steps. HOWEVER, it is not a substitute for reading the full document. It's a real asset once you understand WHY you are doing what you are doing. Thanks again for all who provided input.:)

Good, glad you had a go, TuneECU is a handy tool to have for other checks and adjustments and other mantainance

Congrats. I did mine too the other day and then had a chance to ride it a few hundred km, massive success. It's nerve-wracking to do but so worth it when done.

Can someone fill me in to the benefits of all this new map loading?
Our bikes are somewhat detuned, especially the Touring model shown in your avatar. By simply changing the engine run tune, you can wake them up power wise. Probably increase the hp by 15 to 20% on the Rocket Touring.
