Looking forward to RAA-West 2020

I'm thinking Zion National Park, Yellowstone, Crater Lake, and looking for other amazing places like these

If they've been recently in other RAA events, then I'll happily come up with other ideas. Possibly Redwoods in CA.

If love to plan out 2000-3000 miles worth of fun at 400 +/- 50 miles a day with some camping included for at least 1 night and a down/short day in the trip at a nice rest spot for people to eat/drink and be merry with twisties nearby for die-hards who want to go rip canyons/twisties, or maybe a track!

Here's my initial proposal, need to work out stop points, etc. It is.... a good bit longer than I thought it'd be. Perhaps this isn't an RAA idea, might be too long? 4,100 or so miles start to finish.

You got my attention. Utah has about 5 different National Parks to ride and visit. We could do some day rides to a park and then take a walking tour of the park.

Here are some to think about. If we go to Utah I recommend we do it early or late summer. Late May/early June or September. July and August are scorchers there.

5 Utah National Parks in 5 Days

Zion
Bryce Canyon
Capitol Reef
Canyonlands
Arches

Rob,
Goodonya for all the effort and early jump on next year!
I k-n-o-w intimately all this area and would love to discuss your ideas over some food and beer! :D
I should be back home early July.

Looking at it now, I think plan RAA for Utah and the rest I'll do before/after on my own in a smaller group of those who have the time. I really want to do this trip, 4100 miles is basically a tire length trip lol, seems perfect.

Totally agree, June/July/August are too **** hot to be ridding around the desert day after day. May, late Sep-Oct are much better.

Utah has a lot of good rides 191 north utah all the way down south in arizonia ,grand canyon aint far ,sequoias redwood trees aint far, moab, painted desert, monument valley all aint far, plus the lonliest highway in america and so much more ,going to piss a few off here, but I agree why keep going back to same old maggie ,time to stretch wings and see something different this great country has to offer

Utah also has the Uinta Mountains. The highway runs between Evanston WY about Kamas near Park City. Lots of lakes, some camp grounds. I used to ride that YEARS ago on a Honda CL 350, and my 750K.
Mirror lake is a popular stop. Has snow in spots in the upper parts most of the year, but the highways are clear.

Looks like a very different type of event than the East RAAs where a hub is selected to bed down each night and various days rides are available.
