Have the entire weekend off. Heading out later this morning to the Boot Barn in Tulsa for some rain proof boots. Being a traditional red neck found a pair of western cut work boots that are waterproof. Justin brand. Should work out fine. About the only thing i got left to do is wash the bike and check the air pressure in the tires. Everything else is a go. Been thinking about it and might need to look into carry my daily bag on the bike seat for extra luggage space got this IMG_0590 (1).JPG which is great for carrying about a weeks worth of regular cloths but need more space for motorcycle gear. My leather jacket takes up a lot of space but figure my daily roll bag packed correctly should have room for insulated chaps and other odd assortment of riding gear. What ever happened to the days of just carrying a toothbrush in your t-shirt pocket for a ride:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( Really getting a good laugh at myself about carrying a rain-suit and proper gear. Age has either made me soft or wise not sure which.:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll:

2005 Americade, one of the first Rocket get-togethers...we pull into a McDonald's to get rain gear on... everyone is suiting up for the approaching storm except Todd (the late "Rocket Captain Todd" originator of the "Todd-o-bomb")...

Me, "I have a spare rainsuit in my bike if you want to use it."

Todd, "No thanks. I have one in the saddlebags but I dont want to get it wet."

The last trip to MV, I had my Touring loaded, sissy bar bag loaded, very top heavy. Dropped the bike pulling into a rest area, took 3 people to pick her fat a$$ up. I hope to pack like Ogre this time. I agree that all we really need is a toothbrush.........And Sonny is bringing us a toothbrush...so.....we'll see.
I will look like one of those third world country's with crap 10 feet tall on the bike

Ken, if you're riding solo then you have twice the space I'm gonna have...

P.S. Don't forget the dental floss.

Exactly Ogre. I remember the first time I rode to Daytona. Pulled my trailer behind the softail, with no passenger, rainy, wet, snow, but no ice. I never pulled it again without the Ol'lady. Too much junk.
But I have pulled a log splitter with her
