2014 Rocket Roadster
Hello all! I've been enjoying the rocket for a few years, and have ridden all over, but prefer more comforts and amenities on the longer trips. I know that there are a lot of captains here that love their Rocket Touring for long trips, and while I appreciate that, it doesn't suit my tastes. I like cruise control, radio, controls at the grips for those, fairing with storage, but mostly I want a touring bike that was built for the purpose.
I've kept my 05 Harley Road glide for long trips but it is getting long in the tooth and I'm thinking of replacing it with another touring bike and am looking for suggestions. I've never bought a new vehicle, I prefer to let someone else pay for the depreciation out the door. I like the Goldwing, but the price even on used is too high for me to justify it seems. Another Harley seems like a waste, I already know the demons in mine. I like the idea of the Triumph Trophy SE, but it seems tall? Not sure.
Anyway, if anyone has found their perfect pair to a Rocket Roadster, I'd love to hear about the plusses and minuses to your choice. Thanks!

Mel

Trophy.

Reason:. You have the HD when you want to chill and listen to the potato song. You have the rocket for thrills. The Trophy is fast for a toruing bike, comes with all the things, and is phenomenally agile compared to the HD or R3 so will be a low effort bike on long rides.

I've spoken with many BMW owners who like the Trophy more overall, but stuck with BMW for one reason or another. It's a kick ass bike with a big triple that's very nimble, and it can be had for a steal these days with a little searching.

Well, how about a BMW k1500b? Gadgets galore, and a 6 banger for fun!
