We would all do well to pay heed to the hazard posed by lightning.

Death and injury by lightning is far more common than most people realize, and far higher probability event than many others that seem to scare people, such as shark bites, and so on.

If you can see lightning, you should be under cover -- that's BIG overhead cover -- NOT just your helmet.

But on a bike, in a lightning storm, you are simply a .... TARGET.
