Looking to wrap or do some sort of heat shield for my Carpenter Sidewinder Exhaust. If I wrap, probably going to wrap it back to where the megaphone connects. Also thought about making shields for where my pants tend to touch the header pipe and down by the collector which throws a lot of heat on to my boots. Any pics or thoughts about what you have done would be appreciated.

I haven't seen any shields for the sidewinder yet someday we probably will. Your lucky you got a roadster. If you had a standard you would have branded you calf !!!!!
With my long legs my calf sits right by the 3rd cylinder pipe. I decided to wear a thick neoprene sleeve on my right calf when I rode to a motorcycle training weekend. Good thing, I got stuck in rush hour traffic on the way and during the training I burnt my pants and outer part of the neoprene.

Good luck finding a reasonably priced heat shield. I looked and looked and found nothing. Tried to get my local welder to make me one but completed cost was very close to $200. Way too much, so I went to Walmart and bought a $5 soccer shin protector to wear under my jean's leg. It with ceramic coating works pretty good. I have a 34" inseam and never allow my jeans to touch the exhaust. Normally ride with my knee approximately 2-4" from the #3 primary pipe. The system does get hot under your thigh when in traffic but once moving, it cools off to a comfortable heat level. Wrapping would probably keep the heat in the pipe but is ugly and maybe harmful due to the wrap trapping too much heat and moisture? I am very pleased with my setup. If you need more protection, I would recommend an equestrian leather riding chap on the outside of your jeans.

Looks as if you have ample spacing to avoid a burn in both positions. Your right, you must keep track of your leg position at all times! Keeps the ride challenging.
