Joesmoe submitted a new resource:

For Touring with extra air and exhaust - Leaned out below 3,000 RPM to improve fuel mileage for cruising - more fuel above for performance

This map is one of two provided in the fall of 2016 by Hans, after my request for a leaner map below 3,000 RPM (I'm running right around 75 mph at that RPM). On long stretches of slab, I wanted to not have to stop so often and certainly didn't need the performance while cruising.

Extra fuel was retained at the upper RPM range for available performance.

The two versions were "regular" (this one) and one slightly tweaked at low throttle settings to reduce decel pop.

Hi, looking for some advice as to a base map for my R3T - is this the one above?? Current configuration after fitting today is TORS, RAMAIR, link pipe but I also have the option to put the sensor back in the exhaust as still have it. Was previously running Wayne's tune from 2015/6 to good effect and the plugs ran a good grey colour and all throttle bodies balance with tune ecu which I'm confident in using - looking for guidance config vs the various tune options in resource and on the tune ecu site? I did try Nels (hence no sensor in) a few hours ago but the the crickets are driving me crazy on that tune! Fuels not an issue just looking for decent response down low, reasonable sound from pipes and steady smooth cruising with a bit of performance to spare to pass the Harley's :)

@Webbo
What do you mean by crickets?
I have a 2010 Touring, same setup with TORS and RamAir and I am using the NELS tune with the O2 Sensor unchecked in TuneECU. About 25-3000 RPM it sounds like the pannier frames are vibrating off. More so when I let off the throttle.
Thought it might be the backrest, but took it off and it still does it. Frames seem tight. It's like a loud buzz or harmonic vibration.
Wondering if that is the same thing you got with the NELS tune?

I think I might try the HANSO tune. As well as this one that @Joesmoe has posted here.
So I'm very interested in what you find out!! Good Luck (for both of us).

Thanks for this one Paul. Cameron just installed the Ramair so my former bike now has that plus TORs and Viking crossover so I'll email the link to him. He's got to figure out how to download the tune ECU software though. I have it on my laptop so I suppose I could just send it to him.

Hi, Starmanut - Someone else on here said they had the sound when they downloaded and called it crickets, to me it sounds like chirping birds with nels tune. Not getting any vibes through the frame just this noise under load???? I've seen the tune from navigator so will try this today, I've no problem using TuneEcu and kept a copy of the previous version on my laptop as the latest one does not like to link up to the bike for some reason. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks everyone for the feedback, really appritiatted

Hi, loaded the tune via Tune ECU as usual no problems, set is link pipe with O2 sensor, TORS and RAMAIR, put the Sensor in as was checked on the program. Did the 10 sec on / Off bit with the key to reset the TPS but unable to get the TPS light to go Green even after the 12 minute setup. Read on here it could be a bad down load so did the down load again, 10 sec bit but this time reset adaptions - ran for 13 mins but Green TPS light still not on??? I did notice on then however that there are the closed loop arrows active which I've not seen previously with Wayne's original tune. Question is with out the Green TPS light coming on is everything LIKLEY to be OK ? - tickover is fairly static between 890 and 900 after the 12 mins. Thoughts Appritiated :)

Good to recognize that any donated map can only be good - sometimes much worse. As long as you realize that, and are willing to accept that in most cases fuel consumption will increase, then you'll be alright.
