Not if me ask me, looks like someone grabbed the hose that was stuck on the nipple with a pair of channel locks and gave her a twist to bust the hose loose. Someone needs to put a set on his little hose and twist.

I believe Cam has something like that in mind.

Unless he wants to spend that kind of money or is on a very tight time schedule he should give these guys a call. They do quick, excellent work. Even overnighting it to them would probably be cheaper than a new radiator and nearly as fast if not faster than waiting on one from ebay.

That is exactly what it looks like to me too. Normal sh*t for a dealership. It's very difficult to find a repair shop these days.

Ya if the fitting is not leaking where it is attached to the radiatir then all it means is ya need to make sure you hose clamp goes completely around the uncrushed ferrel area. Now if the joint is disturbe I would go show the owner and give him time to reply before you squeeze a proper answer out of him :) even he should see what happened!!!

Cam got a call from the owner of the only radiator shop in the county and he was not on vacation. He said to bring it over and what a cool old shop it was. The old gent is open until 1:30 PM and then does an 8 hour swing shift at the Bangor Trident submarine base. Try to find a millennial who would put in hours like that. He asked to be given a few days but said he could probably fix it.

Cam found a set of keys in the parking shop of the auto repair shop next door so we went into the old shop and thought we'd step back in time. It was like something out of the 40s 0or 50s, complete with about a 1938 coup with a flathead 8 the grumpy owner was working on.
