2020 Rocket 3 TFC details released!

Kind of a letdown with the anemic horsepower and torque gains. Hope the torque and horsepower comes on real low as it looks like they lowered the max RPM to 5800. Price is lower than anticipated. Someone on this site needs to buy one for the team and provide a full and detailed report!

I was hoping Triumph would have made mention of up coming models as well. We've learned very little other than the asking price, which seems a little high, 24900 would have been nice,. Still that would be more than twice what I paid for mine new. Appreciate all the special bits though.

I ask the question is the bike really overpriced?
For the same price - you could have a force fed and Carpenterised 450bhp monster (@warp9.9 ) with a strengthened 6 speed box (@R-III-R Turbo ) and even fly in @Neville Lush to tune the blighter. Wheels from Deget racing. Custom suspension. You have 1 of 1. And still have spare change for lots and lots of tyres.

Looks like it went the way of the cars when they started putting smog equipment on them. Bigger engines with little gains or same engines made more anemic with the addition of smog pumps, etc. I am sure this new R3 will have some growing pains and there will be ways to get more oomph out of the thing pretty soon.

The guys who bought the 18s for 10k were the smart fellers.

You could have a 2.5L 6 speed 400bhp 2018 (even 2019 if you register a dealer floor one now) Rocket III for less money than the Rocket 3 TFC.

Well.. I'm close on pricing for the 6 speed upgraded gearbox for Rocket IIIs, but it should be reasonable..

Also, the 2.5L crank rods etc are supposed to be shipped to me this week. I have the price on that kit

I have to say I'm bitterly disappointed in Triumph now.

And only 168bhp, 163ft lb from the new improved 2.5L engine.. the old bike was 163 ftlb and 146hp, wtf.
From the rumours this bike was to be a 200hp world beating performer.. then when I placed a deposit the rumour was reduced to 180hp... and it finally comes out at 168hp :(

Triumph i want my deposit back, I'll buy a turbo kit for my Hayabusa..

Edit: found the specifications, updated original post
