Auxiliary Power Socket

You are still looking in the wrong area. You need be looking at rear of engine behind small infill panel. You do not need to remove seat or side panel to find it.

I've looked u set the small cover very thoroughly three times, in the daylight and with an inspection lamp. I've traced every wire and plug I could see hence moving my search to the other panel. Maybe it's still messing with me or maybe it's not on the 2014 Roadster. I'm determined to get to the bottom of this either way. Thanks.

It is buried very deep, I almost gave up before finding it. In picture the screwdriver is pointing to area I found it.

Thanks YG. That's where I've been looking, pulling and investigating and will continue to do so. The little bugger must be there somewhere!

Better question is...on their "flagship", top of the line bike, why the heck don't they come with a power outlet as frickin' standard equipment? Good luck.

I have wondered the same thing. There lots of little extras that could be added and they may be used or not. If you buy a bike and it is loaded with extras that you don't use you will still pay for them off the showroom floor. Then before you know it you would be spending as much for a R3T as a Harley and that probably wouldn't sell very well. Of course that is just my opinion and the only thing I have to back up that WAG (wild assed guess) is the price of bikes that come off the floor loaded with everything but the kitchen sink.

Kind of reminds me of way back when and Ford polled a bunch of owners of full size Broncos before they made that abomination called a Bronco II. They asked Bronco owners how many times they took the roof off of the back. Overwhelmingly the response was "The roof comes off?", so of course the Bronco II did not have a removable top.

eta: If I were to pick one of their bikes as a flagship bike it wouldn't be the R3, more like a Trophy with all of its doo-dads. ;)

This is from my 2014 Roadster - it was hard to find because the wire is pointing straight up and the end is impossible to unless you pull it down towards the ground first.

It is there though

I put my ignition key back there (in the aux cut-out) and put a double USB in the key spot, much handier for charging phone and stuff. the key is in a stupid place up front anyway.

I discovered that the "T socket" has permanent current. It's not good. I would like to have current only with the ignition on
