New Avon Cobra Chrome - any good

This stuff is good reading but for me I just go for what works. If i leave for work and ride home in the rain with out laying it down means the tires worked. If i lite it up from a dead stop and the back tire grabs that means am riding with the right tire on the back. If i leave out in 20 degree temps and both tires are grabbing am good. Tried a set of Cobras and did not like the traction in cold weather. Wore funny on top of that. Even so will give the new ones a try. Running to California in May and then Maggie Valley in June, North Dakota in July sometimes. and then Leaky Texas in October. With a hundred mile plus ride a day back and forth to work should be apply to give a good review on the new Avon's You think:whitstling::whitstling::whitstling::whitstling::whitstling::whitstling::whitstling:

I'm having a set of Cobra Chromes fitted tomorrow, with a 500-mile ride planned for the weekend. Really looking forward to seeing how they compare against the Metzelers. I'm down to the wear bars front and rear on the stock Metz's at 7100 miles. Hopefully the Chromes last longer. ****ed things aren't cheap.

You’ll think you traded in for a brand new motor!

My chromes have covered about 3,000km since February - still look and feel as good as the day they were fitted.

No complaints regarding improved grip and traction, wet or dry they are feeling good.

I am riding in a warm / hot climate, I can't say what they are like in the cold (Our winters here in Queensland never really get that cold).

I will say in the peak of summer here the roads temps really work the tires hard particularly the abrasive surfaces of some of the back roads we ride on.

I called them about these last week out of curiosity, allegedly they'll provide the same grip level with somewhat longer life.

More detail about the difference between the Cobra and the Chrome they were not forthcoming with.
I went with the exedra max at your recommendation, I figured a guy pushing his rocket with insane power should know and ding ding the max is the shisnit thanks Claviger

I extracted this from the Avon website about the Chrome tires - for those interested.

With an advanced construction design, the Cobra Chrome delivers improved stability and durability in all conditions for precise feel and tyre feedback.
Avon’s latest pattern produces over a 5 percent larger footprint to maximise grip and uses the latest compound technology to improve tread life by 10 percent compared with its predecessor.
The use of enhanced compounds means that the Cobra Chrome offers excellent wet braking and handling properties.
