2012 Rocket 3 Touring
Newbie to the Rocket community, recently invested in a 2012 Rocket 3 Touring. Decided the B-King was too lively for my aging capabilities and that I should try to be a little more sedate, hence the move to a cruiser, never ridden a cruiser before, looking forward to long lazy trips out in the summer sunshine here in UK.

Welcome from Florida.

Welcome from Florida USA,you will find the R3T not quite sedate especially after a few mods.

He knows whereof he speaks, having ridden with him while on my 2014 R3T.:roll:

I have not ridden a B-King, but I imagine the R3T will be more comfortable for touring and have more than enough get-up-and-go for when you want to whip it.

I have had mine for a year now and thought it had more than enough umpf for me. I even said as much to Fingers. Yet, here I am, waiting for a Viking cross-over pipe to get here (anxiously I might add) so that I can put it, a RamAir intake filter, and some TORS exhausts, graciously sold to me by another member of this board, in order to bring out more of what this motor is capable of doing.

This is a fun place, with lots of good information, and people more than willing to help. It is a great bike that you will thoroughly enjoy and be envied by all of the other riders (assuming they know what it is. No it is not a Harley).

Welcome from Minden Nevada. This bike is as sedate as you want it to be. I'm at 1/8 throttle most of the time on mine except for when I am not. :sneaky: I have put triple K&N air filters, a straight pipe and removed the secondary plates from the throttle bodies. Download Nels tune from the resource section here (@Claviger shared it). It's for TOR pipes and Ramair filter using Tuneecu. Do these few steps and your bike will run alot smoother than Stock especially at docile cruising speeds. I would like to put a roadster tank on mine someday and move the speedometer higher so I can see it without having to look down. That and adding cruise control might help me from meeting so many local law enforcement officers on a regular basis. :D
