Free new bike bits!! Fly screen fitted and an opportunity for a shameless pimping of my baby

As it is just about there, or will do until next winter where more stuff will happen to make it mine, thought I would post a few pics.

A bit about the bike - bought in January as a Cat N write off (cosmetic), 962 miles on the clock but looked like it had been stored in a Siberian salt mine as it was 5 years old but looked 50!

Whats has been done to it?
  • Much love was lavished on it, polished wheels etc as they were goosed!
  • A few gentle love taps here and there to straighten stuff out, or anything badly bent was replaced.
  • Vinyl wrapped some of the chrome bits as pitting was quite bad (after I removed the pitting, didn't vinyl over it :)).
  • Radiator straightened and leaks fixed.
  • @hogweed rad cover fitted.
  • New headlight rim and lamp (though I eventually fitted Chinese NON adaptive lights, seem pretty good for the money)
  • New levers (struggle with stock and I dont have small hands!).
  • Mudguard support bracket replaced as it was bent
  • New exhaust, standard one was trashed, and is about the same weight as a small truck.
  • Fly screen fitted, generously donated by @cowboyuptex (Jury is out on whether to spray it matte, same as the rest of the bike, I say yes, wife says no!)
  • A set of @chandelierman bars are ordered.
It runs great and even though the weather has been pants, now has about 1500 miles on the clock.

No immediate plans to do any other mods until winter comes, but I have said that before!

When I saw the title of the thread I thought you was, like, wanting valid alternatives. I think I will just keep my puerile smutty, school boy answers to my self. It is, after all, a serious thread :whitstling::whitstling::thumbsup:

Are you Catholic just asking because timbo is another name for a RC in Scotland?(will not hold it against you if you are:D) bike looks good, nothing like fixing it yourself, now as you are only a hop skip and jump from Liverpool keep the bike locked up:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::D
