The old Moly 60 problem

I have a jar of Loctite Moly Paste(LB 8012) on the shelf waiting for the day I need to replace the rear tire and do the final drive lube. Seems to me I got the recommendation for it on this forum. You might do a search for it on the forum(s) to get details about it......might be an alternative to consider......have no idea about UK availability.

Honda Moly 60 is no longer available in UK so I wondered if any of you know if this would be any good as a replacement final drive lube?
AS60 Molyslip 16001 500g Tub Anti-Scuffing Paste - Molyslip Anti-seize & Assembly Compounds - Lubricants & Greases - Product List - Drake Tooling & Abrasives Ltd

Drake has a decent reputation. So do MolySlip. If they are saying that it is a suitable replacement for the Honda Stuff - I would not even think twice, a 500g tub will last you forever. Moly Grease at 60% is NOT a multi-purpose grease so do not use it for bearings!.

Doesn't seem to be available here

Molyslip it is..........may start dealing it if I can only get the 500g size

Why rebuild? If my brakes get spongy and a lot of leaver travel - I just push the brake pistons all the way in to the bottom (After i have cracked the bleeder so the fluid has somewhere to go) then do a fluid change and pump the leaver up and the pistons back out to the disc - Dont pump the brakes up until the caliper is refitted with the pads in......
I did this just yesterday on my 2005 Turbo R3.

Is that Peter? Think you responded to me on FB too (much appreciated).

Bit wary that it has no branding even though it says it's Rocol on the text. I've emailed Rocol for them to confirm the stuff they sell is 60% Moly, if it is, there's 100g tubes for sale on ebay around £20

Yep, I've got both the Honda Moly 60 and the AS60 Molyslip in the garage and use either at tyre change time make sure there's plenty on all surfaces

Pretty much my go to stuff...It hasn't let me down yet.

Bel-Ray Assembly Lube is a high Molylube solids content assembly lubricant. It is impervious to water and not affected by most acids and alkalis. It prevents galling and seizing of fasteners and press-fit components under high loads for later easy removal and disassembly. Its exceptional anti-wear and lubricating properties will minimize wear during break-in. Size10 oz.can
