Dumb ass maintenance problem- sorted?

Thanks warp9.9
No needle just a 5ml syringe. I'll try the job myself & if no good I'll just leave it. I was concerned the diameter might be small enough to block something but couldn't find a diagram to check.

OK let me know I am still looking around I am sure I must have a oil tank I can cut open for a better view but I also can put some pictures together that might help as it is dark inside there and you never get all the oil out from what I can tell.
for instance if you take your fingers and feel under the tank You will find a weld bubble right about in line with the rear opening of the oil plug hole.

Pictures below

The manual does not depict the welded mount for the supply pipe in its picture I have scribbled it in below

sorry about the clarity or lack of it looks better on the scope screen. :)

also the supply spout curves down at the weld seam of the tank just about between the ****** of my thumb and for finger in the second picture that also would make the center on the seam about the lowest point on the tank. especially when over on the side stand could be wedged between the pipe and the tank side ans you drained it. of course is there air in it or did you just lose the outer part of the syringe?

hope this helps

If you have a shop vacuum, get a 1/2x18 inch thin wall flexible plastic hose (available at any hardware store) and tape/seal it to the end of the shop vac hose. Drain the oil from the tank by removing the plug in the sump. Suck the offending part by moving the 1/2 inch hose around the bottom of the tank. Use a clean container to catch the drained oil so you can pour it back in the tank and ride on.

Also, maybe drain oil tank, leave the drain bolt out and cover the fill hole with vacuum on turn her on. Might suck er right up.

Nice idea but what about the breather hose from the top of the oil tank to the the engine case right over the clutch basket gear? Which also vents to the rear of the crank case.

In days of old when knights were bold and woman had not been invented they bored a hole in a telegraph pole and had to be contented, just drop the telegraph pole and insert an oil tank:roll:

In days of old when knights were bold
Before rubbers were invented
We wrapped our cocks in a pair of socks
And babies were prevented

In days of old when knights were bold
And women weren't particular
We lined them up against the wall
And porked them perpendicular

In days of old when knights were bold
and toilets weren’t invented
they did their load
beside the road
and walked away contented''

In days of old when knights were bold
and paper not invented
they’d wipe their ass
with bits of grass
which left them freshly scented
