What do you do with the Pressure Sensor in the Airbox?

Here is how @Rocket Scientist placed his. From this post which explains some K & N filters

Hey looks like 2 things inserted into two filters? One is the temp sensor...what’s the other.

By the way , I did this and simply used the grommet from where the temp sensor pplugged into the OEM air box and push the sensor in there..fits as snug as stock.
EDIT...I SEE it’s the breather tube. Re the air temp...looks like a metal nut or something.
I was thinking just reuse the grommet from the original fixed to the stock air box.

Once inside the filter like this you still need a filter to protect it ( I think not but want to check?)

The air intake sensor just needs a filter around the bulb at the end to protect it from damage. It then needs to be as close to the K&N's as possible to measure the air temp that is going into the K&N filters so as to keep the tune correct. It can be tied somewhere close using plastic ties as i did.
Works fine.

Yeah...I think I’m over thinking this as getting next to the filters surely will be accurate empnoigh as you say.

That sounds like a reasonable approach. The previous owner did not do this since I do not have a hole in any of the filters. I will search this, but is it as basic as snipping a neat hole in the side so the sensor has a friction fit and will not fall out??

It can be simply tied to the frame under the tank as well.

not sure if if your talking about the map sensor as it is not in the air box and looks like the picture your showing. which you can just cable tie that to the frame or to anything solid in the general area just make sure its out of the way of things you might need to get at in the future like spark plugs, now since you mentioned it there is a barometric pressure sensor in the upper front right corner of the air box. most people don't even know it exist. the rest leave it where it is. to move it to the filter like say someone who was messing around with a piper cross filter did would require adding a pigtail or increasing the wire length from the harness.

below barometric sensor in red, Air temp sensor in green and yellow. I moved the barometric sensor out of the air box because I was wondering if it sitting in stagnant hot air once the air box filtration was eliminated would the extra heat mess with the sensor.

Its not temperature sensor, its air pressure sensor. It measures preasure in the airbox, got nothing to do with temperature

Yes that makes sense thanks for your opinion

I recommend going to the YouTube video for installation of the Ramair system. It basically the same for doing a K&N setup. You can buy the clamps for the air temp sensor it your local hardware.
