Steve - any way to measure? Because that would be a MAJOR plus!. All I can think of is they fitted a second series of LEDS if the POI moves. Would take me about 10s to see the differences. If you look through the lenses (really close up) you can see the LEDs. Dammit! - Why must you live on the other side of the world?From my experience, the point of aim is definitely changed from low to high beam and the light projected forward is greater in high beam.
The ADAPTIVE clusters consume the same power dip and Main (according to JWS). So unless they PWM restrict them on DIP I can't see empirical evidence for more light from the adaptive bits. The Main on the AD1 has a significant mid range spread - add the adaptive into that and yes it will seem like more light. Do you still have the AD1?
AD1 vs AD2 won't matter in a few months. Because there won't be any AD1 left!.
tbh this would all be far more speculative save for the fact that JWS are very forthcoming with their equipment spec's.
