2011 Rocket lll touring
I had a friend tell me there is someone down under that makes an electronic cruise control that will work on my 2011 R3 touring . Has anyone installed one of these units ? Where did you find it ? Mickey11

Ayep, @Mickey11 the search function isn't the best, though it can be useful. Do a search on mccruise, and find a fair amount written.

The units are pricey. For those of us who have them, they are worth every penny.

The unit comes as kit -- shipped so quickly one wonders how that is even possible.

Their instructions are voluminous, and based on an actual installation richly populated with photos.

And as @EM549 said, they fully stand behind their product, and when you call, you are talking to the president -- not some know-nothing phone support in India or the Philippines.

I've installed them on two bikes, and when I get around to it, will be installing one on a third.

On the Rocket, the cruise control shines, thanks to the Rocket's ample torque in 5th gear cruising seems effortless, and being able to easily switch hands is priceless.

Thank you for the nod @Jag

I agree with @Joesmoe. Have one on my R3T and it is wonderful. So much better than a throttle lock. On long rides it is a real blessing. It is a big job. Not hard, just a lot of pieces. Read the instructions several times and review the threads here. Take your time and it will go OK. It took me most of a weekend to do it if I remember correctly.

McCruise usually has a discount price on the kits for a couple of weeks in March (anniversary sale). I think it was for 10% off last year. Watching for it this year since I can't ride until April anyway.
