Maggie valley June 2019

In 1993 I rode my 74 XLCH to Sturgis. In the wind!!

Shortly after getting married my wife and I rode my 76 “AMF” XLCH out to Iowa and back. A close to a 1000 mile ride overall in 90 degree weather. The only saving grace was we couldn’t go over 100 miles without a gas stop. After going out she was not looking forward to the ride back. What can I say...we were much younger. I think that pretty much killed any desire she had of ever being on the back of any motorcycle again. I’m not surprised she doesn’t like to ride.:eek::p

The "C" was suppose to stand for California models. California dealers agreed to buy so many if produced. They were thinking of round track racing. Shifted on the right, brakes on left. Round trackers don't use the brake much. Mine was a kicker. Hence, the right knee replacement

Interesting..all the XLCH models were kick start as I recall. That was the designation with I believe for kick vs the XLH being electric start. That was a long time ago....

I read it somewhere, mine was a kicker. Thought that the 76 was electric. Broke my knee because of a cracked kicker, not a timing issue, just saying.

Ride or drag em in fellas. My most recent trip to the doc last Friday gave me some glimpses into the future. I may be facing some **** I don't know in a mask with a knife and I can't shoot them.
Room reserved, looking forward to meeting you. Whatever it is I hope you beat it and beat it fast.

Rick
