2009 Roadster & R1100RS
Hi, I'm new to the forum. Have been motorcycling for over 50 years. Have been riding an 1100 beemer for the last 5 years and having fancied a Rocket decided to get one whilst still young enough! Have imported a 2009 Roadster which was running fine until recently, I now have a problem and before investigating further will seek some advice. If I open it up in 4th gear it 'misses' but is fine in when accelerating moderately, on overrun and deceleration. It is also fine in all other gears. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome from Christchurch New Zealand.

I am sure the experts will be along soon enough to get your problem sorted.

Hello from western NC, USA. Have no doubt, some of those in the know will be here shortly with some suggestions to get your Roadster back in top fighting form.

Hi from Australia .... can't help with your miss but someone will be along and they will want to know.....
Any mods? (Air filter, cat delete, exhaust) What tune is in it? All sorts of stuff to go through.
Every Rocket develops its own personality it seems .... could be the "learning" ECU:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Hi and welcome as longrider said give as much information as possible about what you know has been done to the bike. Then let the magic of this forum do it's thing:thumbsup:

Welcome from Indiana.

Have you had the battery out of the bike recently?

I would start by doing a 12 minute tune.

DO NOT touch the throttle at any time during this process.
Start bike
wait for fan to start
let the bike run for say 15 minutes.
Turn off key.

Go for a ride and see if that helps.

Others more knowledgeable than I will be along.

Enjoy the site.

Hellooo from Houston, Texas

Has the bike been sitting? Let her get used to going out. Pump some fresh gasoline in her. The 12 minute tune is a good starting point. This is a big British Lady with a hybrid carburation system. You have to be patient and learn her bits and quirks.
