Rocket 3 Touring 2018
Hi all,

So, new touring owner and I am trying to hatch a plan to personalise the beast.

In total I want to get the bars up and back a bit, an improved seat add highway pegs, and improve performance for which I’m thinking exhaust, ram air kit and a tune.

I’m planning starting with the ergonomics then dealing with performance since I ride everyday. Would you change bars or seat first? I’m thinking seat as it may then determine how far I go with bars or even just risers... to the more experienced...any tips for a new owner? I’ve had Corbins on other bikes... anyone got a Corbin or have a strong recommendation for another make?

While i have a roadster and not a tourer i think It may not make too much difference in how you alter things.
I added 'Thunderbike' bars from Nelson NZ with rivco risers under them to lift the bars up and back. It dosnt take much to alter your sitting position and therefore if you are not reaching out, your shoulders and neck are more comfortable. I have 4 different seats i can swap and change and i only have to loosen two of the allen bolts so the bars can pivot forward or back a tad to suit the seat.
Real comfy.

Welcome Double R. There is a lot of reading here, you will enjoy it. Enjoy the ride for now and slowly see what you need.

Welcome! ...and I'm another who agrees with the 'seat'. I also added a backrest which gets me another couple hundred miles (aka 321 Kilometers) before I get tired.

So now that I have confirmed my first step is going to be a seat.... Corbin or mustang? I’ve had a Corbin before and loved it on another bike, never had a mustang.... both made US and it looks like the dollars will be similar so? What’s others experience?
