Hadn't ridden the bike in a while.
Charged the battery.
At first when I turned the key the lights came on but the dash was dead.
Flicked the kill switch repeatedly and the dash started to work.
Pulled in the clutch lever and the dash reset with a loud click from the clutch switch.
Removed the switch and sprayed with switch cleaner. Did not reinstall.
Turn key, dash behaves but only if I hold the clutch switch in.
Otherwise it just keeps clicking and resetting the dash.
Anyone have any ideas?

Load test battery. That would be the first step I would take!!
Yup. Load tested and all good.
Symptoms have changed ???

Now, when I turn the key all is good, the dash loads up.
Then when I pull the clutch in, the bike starts straight up without touching the starter button!
I am thinking it is more likely the right hand switch gear at fault as it all started with the kill switch.
Still receptive to any ideas folks.
