Here in Christchurch NZ, i travel to Ashburton, about an hour ride, to Honda Country. Brendan is the Dynojet agent.
If he provides and installs the PCV and then dyno's the bike it will cost you $NZ1100. If its just a dyno tune its $NZ400-$NZ500.
These guys race bikes and tune other teams race bikes and they know their stuff so i travel the distance to get that service and knowledge.
Locking a tune??? Dont know why he would want to do that. I plug my own laptop into my PCV when i get home and download the tune into it. That way, if anything is changed, i have the tune to put back in...wouldn't want it locked so i couldn't.

ok so next time I see him I will ask about the lock, he did mention of keeping a backup as well..... another 3 weeks before I go back to work hopefully get some good overtime and have it done.

Other end of the earth from Lushy was supposed to visit him last september but had too many bills
OK - Lushy is a good long trek away. But probably (from what folk say) well worth the wait. And very possibly worth having him put some new cams in too. You'll get home faster.

Just curious but you didn't say what the shop is plugging into? PCV ect.? Tell us what you got.

I think I got just standard ECU, running Ramair Prim butterflies disconnected (or is that the secondary ones) and a custom 3 into 1 exhaust using standard headers to a 3 1/2 inch turn out muffler baffled but nice loud note.

So you understand that some Dyno shops cannot change your ECU and nobody did except some dealers until there was tune ECU. There wasn't an interphase. Example being a Dynojet shop like in my town, Smithers Customs. The guy is an ace at working with power commanders but never heard of tune ecu till I mentioned it to him. If you asked him to tune your ECU he would tell you to buy a power commander. Something he knows. Same with Tune boy . Not all Dyno shops want to or can work with everything. I may be wrong on some of this but this is how I understand it.

I'm a firm believer in you get what you paid for. Spent a lot of hours searching for a tuner that is familiar with the Rocket. Just by a stroke of luck found one in Oklahoma City. Tune ECU not a problem. Have been told he takes awhile to tune so be prepared for a long day. We have tuners here in Oklahoma that can tune your bike via a PC3 and give you a time frame of hour or two wait. They all seem to charge around $300.00 to $500.00 dollars. Sounds like a good deal. After much research and frustration have a better understanding of what is involved to get a bike tuned properly. You might get lucky with the Two hour special at $300.00 than again mites are found on a chickens As2. I'll spend a bit more money and be very happy sitting around the better part of the day daydreaming about how well the bike will run. Don't think I'll ride away disappointed.

Um that would be Fred at Procycle dyno. Exactly what he quoted me too for tuneboy remap. It’s the going rate.
I’m saving up for mine as we speak!
