Spy shots new rocket

Sad, but I still find it intriguing that our Rockets have been in production since 2005. And I still get the "What's that?" I guess the remaining Rockets will dry up, and parts will get scarce. Makes me feel older than I am!:( But I do have 3 tagged and running, and a spare motor, so I'll probably be OK till I'm too old to throw a leg over. Still sad when I think about it. Old age sucks! (69)

69?? A mere slip of a lad, my dad is 80 this year and still rides one of his two bikes 3 or 4 times a week, you’ve got years in you

The reality is the world has moved on and thankfully Triumph is clever enough to be moving with it. It probably doesn’t matter that some current owners are resistant to change; the new bike isn’t actually aimed at them anyway.

So if it doesn't look like a Rocket and it's not aimed at the Rocket crowd, why call it a Rocket?

About your bar end mirrors, what does vibration to them ?

I purchased the black Triumph tear drop mirrors years ago. After installation the vibration on the mirrors was so bad I could not use them. I tried different type of methods to totally remove the vibration or reduce it. Nothing I did would work. So I decided to purchase bar end mirrors. NO VIBRATION and now have mirrors I can use. I was paranoid that the vibration was going to be worse with the bar end mirrors but that was not the case. Funny how that worked out.

It sure looks like a Rocket to me. What other in line 2.3+ bike do you think it looks like?

What I was actually saying, and pretty much said it, was that the new model is not aimed at those in the Rocket crowd who are resistant to change. You see it’s like this. I type a series of words and those words are what I mean, not just a convenient selection of them.

Of course I expect it will be called a Rocket but I didn’t say it was called a Rocket. None of the pictures I’ve seen have any badges and i guess it can’t be ruled out (although is unlikely) it will have some other name. Apparently it’s a Diavel so maybe they’ll call it that.

I was “told” a few times that my Rocket was a 6 cyl. When I pointed out it was a Triple one know it all *****head then told me that it must have been the older ones that were 6 cyl, the Rocket II. :banghead: Maybe the new one will be the Rocket IV.
