Looking at my maintenance records and estimating mileage between now and the run about the only thing i"ll need to do is buy tires. Valve adjustment is going down at the end of this month among other things. Just sitting around today and enjoying a day off even if it is raining. Thinking about this run a bit today and really looking forward to it. For some it may not be a big thing but for me it is. The idea of riding for about a week and then some enjoying life sounds good about now. Way to many hours working and way to cold while riding. Looking forward to hitting the highway with warm weather and really no time limits.

Yes indeed. Have only met a few in person but really looking forward to meeting a lot more on this run. If they are anything like you steel and and the others i have met in person am going to enjoy the #ell out of this run.

All the way from East Central Ohio back to Houston, I saw 4 total cops actively watching for speeders... 1300 miles. 20 hour drive done in 18.5

Thanks for posting that. Figured after all the other post i was behind the times. Have not taken a good trip on a bike since 1999. Took that trip from V.A. to Oklahoma and back again with a average speed of 85 miles per hour on a Goldwing. Never had a issue. Here in Oklahoma ride 1-40 at times with speed well over 100 mph and never had a issue. Did have a state trooper pull me over once but that was just a warning. He was more interested in the bike than correcting me on my speed.
