Hey all. It's finally time to replace the garbage OEM heated grips on my '09 Classic and I'm trying to figure out my options. All I can find to fit are the stock ones whose life cycle seems to be a few minutes, or the Oxfords that I don't think will work with my BrakeAway throttle lock. Anyone know if I have any other options?

The breakaway will fit the Oxford's as long as you route the heated cable correctly so it does not impede the breakaway. Oxford's are the bees knees

WOW! Tis true!!!
"Bees do have knees.
They definitely have joints in their legs, and they have femurs and tibia – the bones which the knee joins in humans.
They don't have kneecaps, however – so while the joints in bees' legs aren't quite 'knees' as we know them, they are still knees by our reckoning."

My OEMs lost the low setting after the first season, any use of the right grip after the third, and wore through by the fifth. By my experience, getting a full season of proper function is above average.

Has anyone done the routing that could post some tips or a how-to? My DIY skills have been described as "inept" in the past and I'd rather not ruin a new set of grips. :)

i hope i don't jinx myself but my OEM heated grips work great also....

Couldn't find any that would work with my Brakeaway so I ended up just throwing on a set of standard grips and got a pair of Moose Mud Paws and am looking for a set of heated gloves.

Used the paws with some regular summer gloves on a Ural ride and they did the trick just fine.

(This was the start of the ride. That's me on the tan Sahara 2nd from the left.)

My Triumph grips are great.. 2 stage and both work and were fitted at the factory new in 2008... had 2 sets of oxfords now on my other bikes and both went the same way... would only run flat out or not at all .. so im not really impressed with them im afraid.
