I am going to try this because it would give me more legroom. My thoughts are that the Triumph engineers put them so far back to get them away from that radiator. It will help with legroom though to relocate them farther forward and lower.

Do any of you ride with your feet far forward on the boards closer to that radiator? Is the heat unbearable?

Wintertime here now but SC in the summer gets hot.

I have a 32 inch inseam and also have foot pegs on the highway bars. Whether my feet are all the way extended on the floor boards or on the foot pegs, the heat from the radiator is not a problem. This includes summer here in Florida.

Thanks. Also looking at the forward peg setup that the roadster has. For me, that would be preferable to the stock floorboards of the R3T. I will document the whole mod and share it.

if you want to switch to foot pegs i have a complete set with shift linkage from my 2005 rocket that will move feet farther foward than touring footboards.

I may take you up on it but I have to see that it would fit. I would like to keep those Highway bars and have not seen any front controls with Highway bars.

Everything is possible if you have the know how cash and the gear to do it... Im only short with a 28inch leg... so riding the classic I have gives me back ache after a while..id like mine nearer the seat...
