Where to start

sensor did NOT need extension...reached over to locate right by filters.
This is true - BUT exact position makes a MONSTER difference.

With the RamAir it is in the dynamic air stream to the TB inlets.

I have been playing with a temp sensor placed (cable ties) onto the exterior surface of the Ramair and where you put it makes a BIG difference to the temperature measured. as much as 20ºC difference. I have a cut back OZ-claw: I also have a small air **** twixt under-tank area and filter, so have more cool air flow than many.

Now if this was the AIT sensor - imagine the effect it will have on the ECU's understanding of the environment. Especially under a claw.

The area around the overflow tank gets VERY hot. Apart from any tank content - there is substantial air-wash upward from the rad.

Just saying.

Not sure what “ drop in “ means so you are probably right...but...

I installed the K&N air box delete...MADE A SINGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE. Note...also fitting outlaw exhaust prior to this.
So could gauge the changes induced by each step.
By drop in I’m talking about simply replacing the stock pleated paper filter with a K&N. it has been dyno proven to have no effect.
