The darkside is wonderful

Dang it I just ordered a new Avon Cobra to run up front. Wish I’d thought about looking for alternatives here before it was too late to cancel. Oh well.

ime a monstrous mismatch in width front/rear does not help handling. If anything I think the 150/70 with the eMax works better than the 140/80 Azzaro did.
I am currently torn between a 140/75 H50 front or another 150/70 (T31 or T30EVO). I have a while to think before a new set is mandated. Rear is a foregone conclusion.

Amigo,
Yet another seemingly excellent "back-door" tire!

Going to try a Sumitomo HTR Z II 225 60 16. This instead of the 225 55 Raptor. The series 60 is taller and just short of matching the Exedra Max height. The Raptor is 225/55/16, well broken in and rides very well. It is there for the taking for those contemplating a change test.

I had a Honda shop in Tulsa that mounted mine. Apparently car tires are the choice of many Goldwing riders.
I used to have a wing and ran a run flat car tire as I usually had a passenger and pulled a trailer..it took a bit to get used to but once the edges rolled a little it did what I expected.

I'm a devout disciple and member of the "Church of the Rear to Front" (aka "back Door"). You are just another nay-sayer!
Tires for only the front of a motor is a darn conspiracy led by the engineers, designers and tire companies!
How dare you question my data base study of ONE!?!   :p

You have converted me Sir - I am now a 'Back Door Darksider' (hmm, that doesn't really sound that manly does it).

I installed the new Michelin Road 5 Rear 150/70ZR17 69W reversed on the front this morning and just finished a 150 mile ride and am quite pleased with the
improvement in cornering.

I had to make some adjustments to the 11.5" Hagon Nitro rear shocks for the 245/50ZR16 Riken Raptor and have a bit more dialing in to do but this smaller diameter
tire with the Wilber fork springs, 10mm shorter spacer, and forks pushed up into the triple tree gets the bike handling much better.

I'm currently running 35lb in the Road 5 but may bump it up. 30lb in the Raptor seems pretty good.

My Roadster is set up a bit differently and has the narrower 140/75 Avon Cobra up front which helped but I think the flip-flopped Michelin 150/70 is better.

Thanks for your scripture!!

Amigo,
I run 34 lbs. in my Road 5. It is a GREAT tire!

With that CT, you have lowered the rear axle .74 inch and with those 11.5" Hagons you'll never feel the magic of the Road 5!
You will be dragging metal all over the place.
I ran the same shockies for a spell and the bike handled like a Harley - NO lean angle!

Get the Exedra Maz 240/55/R16, get back to some good 12.5 shockies and then experience twistie boners every time!!!

Dunlop must not know how to mold a tire. This Dunlop front tire , with 2,000 miles started to separate at mold joint.
Ask Warp9.9 if there was any compromise in following me in the turns at Maggie Valley. Keep 36-37 PSI in the rear CT and see how that improves handling. Behaves no differently that a lightly worn Metz or Avon bike tire.

Thanks - if I raise the rear back up I'll have to learn to take off like this lad:

It handles very well with the current mods and handles better in the twisties than this one must:
