RAA Oklahoma edition (fall launch) set date.

my bad... I misunderstood.. the beaver was and still is the king of floatplane all over the north american continent the otter was not as successful yet I never flew one beaver on floats nor skis and never saw one on wheels anywhere but I flew Beech-18 on floats and skis in the far north same engines as the beaver time 2

At least you flew them. I just admire them from the shore.

Went ahead and made a reservation just in case, arriving on the 21st and departing Monday morning, 24th. I told the nice lady, who called me hon, that I was the oldest and rowdiest of the bunch so she put me next to the office so they can keep a close eye on me. :cool:

Looks to be about 2200 miles from Port Orchard. I have a big Triumph bike cover that I can throw over the bike at night on the way down so folks will at least think I riding a Triumph.

OLDEST???
ROWDIEST???
OK,Mike, you be a tad older than most, but me and both the two others joining me are older than youse, Amigo! :roll::inlove

I just stayed in a hotel in Martin County Kentucky this weekend ( far eastern part) and the coffee tasted like old socks. The breakfast was individually packaged nasty cake donuts. Dry county. Any kind of food establishments close at sundown. I asked a deputy just where the hotel was and they gave me directions. 2 minutes after I arrive, they did as well. Just wanted to make sure I got there ok they said. Advised me to park it by the office and lock it all up. I couldn't get hot water in the shower. The desk said let it run a while so I did, 5 minutes to get warm water. In the sink hot was on the right, cold on the left. They did have nice towels. About 30 miles from sanity. Apparently plenty of meth to be found but no cold beer unless you ride to West Virginia. I love my old Kentucky home. Is that like rural Oklahoma? There is a super max federal penitentiary smack dab in the middle of all this nothingness. I bet they show the movie Deliverance a lot inside to discourage escape attempts.
@JoseyR3Wales
