Oh, and just in case you are totally new to Ruskin it is the tomato capital of the state so come around November you'll have some of the best "maters".:)

Very cool! I tell all my friends that my wife was “Tomato Queen” at the big Mater Fest when she was younger...
 
The summers here don’t bother me that much.

In addition to riding the r3r, I bicycle, shoot IDPA weekly (outdoors) and kayak. I fish, boat and spearfish too, but, like kayaking, that’s on or in the water.

I did, however, grow up down here before air conditioning. Not even the schools were air conditioned when I was growing up.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my A/C, I just don’t let the heat stop me from doing outdoor things I like.
 
I agree with the summers being too hot and Florida is no good in general. Everyone should only visit for a short time and spend their money and then go home. The City of Daytona Beach is predicting that the population will double in the next 3 years. I am trying very hard to convince everyone to stay where they are! Don't live here!
