Head count for raa east 2018

If your not meeting up with anyone like lupe I'd say 70 looks good. I hate 80 especially in Nebraska you know miles ahead when a cattle confinement is comming.

Jim, i don't think i will be in town when you ride Oklahoma, around the same time i will be headed to Nebraska, and you are correct, hi40 from Amarillo to Little Rock is not the best place to ride, it sucks big time

Questions on my chosen route to Stearns.

Google maps basically gives me three options, 40 east, 70 east or 80 east.
Originally my plan was to take 40, however a coworker mentioned today that 40 east through OK and NM is a really poorly maintained road. He suggested taking 70.
Also keeping in mind this is my sons first long trip on a motorcycle, I’d like to try and keep it as pleasant for him as possible. Any suggestions on the route?

I-70 though the Rockies is a fine ride but the plains afterwards is just miles of flat...

You want flat take 80 oh and construction. The only good thing about 80 is you go right by Baxter's in Marne Iowa. But you haven't experienced anything until you ride through a super cell in Kansas on a Sprint ST getting blown everywhere.

I've ridden 70 and it is pretty well up there going through CO.
In May adverse weather would be likely.

I will be traveling north from Jacksonville to Savanah the 15th or 16th. A 10 hr drive, pulling. If anyone want to pair up for safety let me know.

Rick, I think I am leaving Miami around 5-6pm on the 16th. Not sure if @teraeric is coming to Stearns and what day, but his route choices will be pretty similar to mine once I hit Orlando.
