New - looking to get an R3

Horse, welcome to The Group. Nice VTX. The R3 is comfortable and torquey. They are out there to be had at good prices. I wish mine had ABS since I have a tendency to lock the rear tire. Compared to the Valkyrie, the front brakes could be better. Smaller wind shields fly better for the speeders. I finally settled for Windvest.

WELCOME, Andrew, to the best motor forum in the land!
You be just a pup age wise here as we average like 55 yrs . . . I think.
Like you, I came to the R3R from a very high toeque V-Twin (Kaw V2K).
You will be shocked at all the improvements! Power, handling, Power, Torque, Power . . .

There’s a nicely done 2005 turbo rocket on eBay. From the description it seems to have been done right.

Thanks all for the warm welcomes!! My only concern is maintenance - the closest dealer is about 2 hours away.

I completely agree about the hayabusa not being comfortable on long trips - my middle aged back doesn't want to deal with that any more...

Here's the current ride:

Ya but that is only about 1 hour and 15 minutes on a Rocket
