one more question
will these roadster tunes fit my 07classic?

I hate that Triumph made different ecus and instruments for 2 bikes that are virtually the same. How much would it cost to get a full @DEcosse electronics system?

The tune, if based on a '10 Roadster should work from 05-13.5 model year standard/classic/roadsters only.

Alain is indeed amazing and responsive about custom maps!

Indeed it is. It's a bit quirky and certainly what I'd call a "Beta" file, but it works, and works well so not at all complaining about it! I only asked for 8k, but it soft cuts at 8 and hard cuts at 8200. I'm personally not comfortable with the piston speeds at 9000, so intentionally limited it by asking for the lower limit.

I'm actually glad its not out in the wild, can only imagine the horror stories that would arise spinning a shim over setup to 9k lmao.

The shims will not spit out because of rpm unless there is a problem with valve springs etc. If any of you are old enough to have owned an early Z900 Kawasaki, they could be turned well beyond 9000 with no problem, TT350 Yammy 10K, FJ1100 Yammy 11K. The reason for putting the shims under the bucket on a rocket is to save weight on the reciprocating valve parts and to enable a larger lift cam to be used. The cam is running on a 28mm bucket instead of a 25mm shim. If you want a rpm limit at 13000 it can be done, even with a PCV and ign module you could up it to 11k. There is no "secret". STOCK springs are beyond there design brief above 7000rpm especially for any length of time.
