My R3T is past due for the valve inspection and adjustment. I'm not comfortable doing this P.M. The mechanic who has worked on my bike is out of the business. I'm looking for a good tech in S.W. Michigan. Are there any Captians near Kalamazoo or Grand Rapids who know of a good mechanic? Any ideas are welcome. Thanks, Chip

Hi Chip...Have you considered Fox Powersports in GR or Life Cycle in Kalamazoo? Both are Triumph dealers. Fox is pretty big but I can't speak for service on either one.

I might fabricate the tool and do my own when time rolls around but I wouldn't want to mess up someone else's bike. Getting your hands on the shims you might need would be the pain. I don't think you have the air box crap removed yet either. Pretty cramped under the tank.

Hermy's is a good place to get shims. Fast delivery.

Hi there, it may not be as daunting as it first appears checking out the valves because I have had three Rockets checked by the shop at 32,000kms and none of them required a shim because they are pretty much always still in spec

Yup...It's my first place to go for my Triumph parts. Hopefully when it's time to do the check I just trade my 2015 off for that new touring model with a stereo, GPS, electronic cruise control, trunk and fairing. Lol. Problem solved!
