Just need a bit of info what shocks are these? Clockwise or anti clock wise to adjust?

Look like progressive shocks-if you twist the top section lines will appear I think mine had about five lines the more exposed lines the harder the shock.

Progressive 440. I have a set on my R3. Set at minimal preload works best for me. 07 Classic solo rider, 220 lbs. Nice set, dirt cheap.

Looks like a broke shock . . . zat a weld there below the top mount bolt?

nah just a sloppy weld its the same on the other one

Doubtful tis a Progressive shockie.

Calling that a weld is a stretch of the imagination. (Yuk) Either way looks like someone attempted a repair job. Shocks from the manufacturer have no bare burn spots.
