Back in the early seventies I ran Castrol R in all my 4 stroke race bikes, my road bike, my lawn mower and my edger! Benzall in the 2 strokes.
I still have several unopened quarts on the Shelf that have been sitting there ever since.
Drain the oil let it set until the sedement settles at the bottom and then reuse the clean bean oil that's left.
As I remember, it cost $8.00 a quart way back when non detergent oil was about $1.25.

My buddy and I though we had some pretty hot bikes with our Honda 750's. Out cruising the slab a V65 came up and just smoked us.
Later I was seriously looking into one, test ride and all but the kids needed to eat, so I passed.
My brother has a VTX 1800 I've yet to try out.
Even with a Rocket in the garage, I still love to oogle the other bikes I see around.
