Helping finding a part

2013 rocket 3 roadster
got new exhaust so the heat shields were removed. When I️ went to put them back on the nut bracket was missing. Dealership says it’s a part that comes with a new header so buying a header is my option. Again this is the lower heat shield that connects to the rear exhaust can on the right(rear brake side).lookimg at where the front bolt screws into. I️ have attached 2 pictures, one with the missing part and 1 with it. Please let me know where to get the missing but bracket. Thank you

Bill, that is a part that I supply with my header when a customer is retaining his stock mufflers etc.
This locates the stock heat shield/cover.

There seams to be a few variations as to how Triumph has done this.
First we have a pipe with just a stub welded to it which is (I think) for the earlier three pipe models.

Next we have this.

Then we have this as part of inner heat shield for the Roadster/Touring.

If anyone knows the years/models of these variations, I'd like to know, just for reference.
Possibly the variations are just for more efficient Manufacturing techniques.
For example, that set up in the second photo may have been a more efficient/cost effective production method than machining that stub in the first picture.
The third photo could be am improvement on the previous one.

I for one am always looking at more efficient/cost effective (with out reducing quality) production methods. Interestingly, often more efficient production can actually increase the quality of the unit.

That’s interesting, maybe I’ll try different years at the dealer and see what happens if not, home made it will have to be.
 
Not sure that Pauls offered solution would classify as "home made". Just sayin ;)

As Paul said sometimes the easiest, cheapest most efficient fix is the best. If you had any sort of welder or even a big soldering iron the hardest part of making that yourself would be getting the correct threaded nuts from the US hardware store for the nice OEM finished chrome bolt.

The beauty of Paul's offer is the postage from NZ would be a pittance too especially if you bought you own hose clamp locally.:thumbsup:

I used a similar hose clamp solution to fit my stock cover onto the CES header.
 
I'm in the middle of getting a full system from Paul. Come spring I may have to empty out stock parts (14r) Sorry not now but in MN. everything is tucked away in a cargo trailer and plugged in for the hibernation months.
