Just have a question here, are the ECU's on the touring and roadster different or the same, main reason for asking would be, can you use the same tune on each one or are they different and you have to use a tune specific to each model?

so essentially if take a tune meant for a roadster and put it into a touring, I can pretty much kiss my ECU goodbye?
I am sorry to ask a dumb question but what is the difference between a Touring and Roadster ??

not a dumb question if you don't know. The Touring uses different front end, body work, rear frame section, different wheels/tires and comes with a single headlight, windshield and hard bags. It was introduced in 2008. Not to be confused with the Tourer which was a Standard (or a Classic I forget which) with a windshield and soft bags but otherwise unchanged. Other than the engine and a rew minor items there is not much interchangeability between models.

Older post, but answered one of my many questions, that being that tunes for touring and roadster are not interchangable! If anyone can help me with my other question, I would be very greatful! I have a 2010 Touring with the factory tune and would like to know if there is a tune that will unrestrict this thing? It is totally stock, I am going crazy reading all these tune posts. tune 20364 looks like the proper one, but then you read up on it and it says it accomplishes nothing more than the factory tune. Please HELP!!!!!

There is a tune from Wayne Tripp that gives a stock Touring 30 more hp. Not sure where to find it, but I'm sure someone will be along shortly to point you in the right direction. Maybe @Joesmoe will know.
