Controlling the Rocket III

Do you use your core to control the rocket? Which major groups of muscles do you feel you are using when turning at medium speed?

Lately have been crunching while turning. It seems to make my turns smoother.

Tricepts & shoulder for normal stuff - stomach, hips & glutes to slide ass partially off seat for the good stuff!

Got me to thinking....I lean on the hand grip and weight shift to which way I'm turning when "getting along" but tighten the grip and "bully" the bike at low speed cornering...seems to me I like to be the boss rather than let the bike boss me..

Never thought about it. On the rare occasions when I drive the car my wife just laughs and tells me leaning into the turn in the car is a waste of time.:oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops:

Mate don't feel too bad I have noticed I used to have my head leaned into a corner pulling a 3 trailer road train on unsealed station roads ,it seems to help ,I don't even notice it on bikes, but when I had the Suzuki 109 RT I was all over it like a cheap suit to get the thing to go around corners at a decent speed ,on the Rocket Touring it was a lot better on the corners .

You are using all back and shoulder muscles. If you are using your back correctly (good position) then you will feel your stomach tense.

Yeah. No Boss Rocket won't turn. I have been pulling with the long arm and stabilizing the counter-steer arm.
