A question from a newbie: What the hell is that Segmented arrow that points to the right and sits on the left hand side of the fuel tank symbol on the Tacho. Could find nothing in the manual

It's out of sequence, but it means miles until you need the gas pump which it's pointing too? Kinda goofy. It would be more intuitive if it showed the miles before the arrow.
