My rocket is finally home (and almost complete after 2 months) in the shop. It was taken to a certain dealer in Ohio which shall remain nameless (for now, they still owe me parts) on or about April 20th. It took about a week for my insurer to cut a check so repairs could begin.
It has been 2 months of being told how hard it is to get parts for a 10 year old bike, and that everything was backordered. I know the shop shares at least some of the blame for the delay.
I got the bike back last night still missing the tank badges and the chrome cage that goes around the saddlebag, they were backordered , of course, being 10 years old and all. I nearly had another stroke from being so pissed about it.
With the exception of the handlebars, clutch lever assy and shifter everything else was cosmetic. I really should've (and could've )done it myself. I was in a lot of pain from my injuries and I wasn't paying the bill , so I decided to let a professional do it.
Lesson learned, NO ONE CARES ABOUT MY BIKE NEARLY AS MUCH AS I DO. I would still be waiting if I hadn't shown how seriously pissed off I was.My bike could have been on the road at least 1 month sooner. Even if I were still waiting on some cosmetic ****.
At least it does run and ride right.

You'll be waiting forever for those pannier cages as they are no longer available or in production. If your lucky some NOS may lie on a shop shelf somewhere but good luck getting your dealer to source them. Best bet is to track them down yourself second hand as new may be stretching your luck. Start searching eBay and Google with the part numbers from Cal Moto Triumph Parts or Jack Lilley UK

Ok other then the worthless cosmetics which the rocket comes with or without why did it take so long? internals are virtually the same on the engine so if that was some of the excuse I would say they are blowing Smoke up your arse . what Ohio dealer should we avoid?

My dealer keeps engine parts in stock....at least the most requested parts. The parts manager is more than willing to scour the earth for anything not in stock.

Sounds like you have a great asset at your disposal.
I didn't need any engine parts luckily. But sadly everything I did need wasn't readily available, according to the dealer.

For parts you need there is a certain well known R3 tuner in New Jersey that a little birdy told me maintains a larger parts stockpile than Triumph does...perhaps have your dealer call them.

The dealer wouldn't release my old parts to me when I picked up my bike , saying they needed a "release" from the insurance company. I talked to Geico , who said that was bs and the parts are my property. I told the dealer this(of course they needed to speak to Geico ) and got my parts back.
I also checked the b/o'd part # and it's not even the saddlebag panier that I was told I was waiting for.
Gonna cancel the b/o and take my cash, which I am sure I will have to argue for.
