Hidden kill switch

Someone has to give a serious reply I suppose :D

Find the Alarm connector bypass plug under the tank - cut the loop between the 1 & 2 terminals and connect your switch (via extensions) to each of the cut ends.
Locate your switch wherever you want - under seat probably.

I echo the disk-lock with motion detector actuated siren. (Xena)

1. DEcosse is always right...
2. But would it be even better with a removable kill switch on those wires, which I've used on yacht and Land Rover batteries, about £8 here (US$10-ish) or £3 from China? Then the bad guys can't even flick your switch. But would it have too much resistance (I'm electrically semi-illiterate)? Only problem is the enormous red plastic key but it can be trimmed down to the bare essentials, although the base is also a lot bigger than a 12v switch.

No need for a switch - A connector with a removable plug that just has a loop in. Had something similar on my Guzzi for years.
Or a fuse holder with a removable 50A fuse (or even an old nail). Oh the choice - decisions, decisions.......

You mean like the actual alarm bypass plug itself :D
I typically just recommend to simply unplug that & put it in your pocket - for virtually every other Triumph- in their "wisdom" (???) They decided to have it under the tank on the R3 which makes zero sense as the OEM alarm kit actually requires an extended cable to access!!!
But sure - you can still run 2-wire extender cable from those same terminals I identified and can choose to either connect a switch or a 2-way connector set with a loop

I doubled up on the "kill switches". You can't be too safe.
Oh man that picture made my heart go heavy I used to have a long haired Shepherd best dam friend I ever had, I do miss him, never got another as I would be expecting it to be as good as him and doubt it possible my biggest regret is I don't have good picture of him but he lives on in my heart Tas RIP

They have so much character. The only injury you could get from my two is saliva poisoning. They sound mean though...

Oh yeah that how I remember him awesome to the end he was huge he was actually 6 inches oversize measured at the shoulders, standing up on back legs he could look me in the eye just before giving me a big sloppy lick up the face, when I came home from work if I didnt go out and say good morning to him within 5 mins of walking in the door you would think someone had cut his throat he was so affectionate

couldn't let inside unless you made sure there were no breakables on coffee table as he would clear it with one swish of the tail as he walked by, he never got on with my first wife ..... mmm maybe he knew something I didn't at the time, he was never mean or aggressive towards her he just ignored her as if she did not exist , smart dog, obviously smarter than me

One of the boys in my neighborhood has taken to exploring the more wild side of life, rummaging through cars, garages, testing if front doors are open and the what-not.

It's got me thinking of adding a hidden kill switch. Anyone have experience installing one?

I had one on my 55 Chebby, on my duner and on my V2K. They all worked very well!
My R3R has only the OEM, now a fake-out, ignition switch.
