I decided I needed a bit more height and pullback on my Thunderbike teebars on my 2016 Roadster so pulled the trigger on some Rivco Risers.
They arrived yesterday and so after doing my brownie point jobs for mum today, I set to fitting them.
First thing I noticed was the instructions must be for an earlier model bike as some of the things didn't make sense so I did what I thought I needed to and everything worked out fine. I shifted the brake line from the front of the forks to the back as well as the accelerator cables and clutch cable so to get the extra length from them.
Everything worked out fine with the cables being long enough without any stress on them.
The gauges have an extra fitting which came with the Thunderbike teebars and this went straight back on...I did bend the bracket up a bit to keep the bracket away from the tank tho.
I took her for a test ride and the difference is significant with my sitting position more upright and hands out front of me...like being in a chair...I do have the backrest so it feels real good.

Be cautious for a bit. My steering feels MUCH lighter since I adjusted my seating position more upright. Had to back off a fair amount of rebound damping (Maxton forks)

@Tal Im so glad you posted this! As a Thunderbar owner I've been considering doing the same for quite a while now, but concern over the length of the brakes and cables kept me from doing it.

Mind if I ask your height? I can sit straight up, like a chair without the risers but my arms are fully extended, a feeling I'm not a fan of.

I'm 6ft 2in...lying down..with boots on I'm 187 cm

I have always liked the look of T-bar handle bars but think I'm too short, but didn't think of the Rivco pull back which I have, they seem to be back far enough for me, how tall are you?
I got the clock and gas gauge, I wounder how that would look with all four on handle bars?
The way you did your backrest and luggage rack looks great.

Thanx, i like the look too but its way more comfy which is what i was hoping for...im 6ft 2in.

plus....make sure you have or get the correct rivco risers for your bike as there are two to choose from. One fits the Tourer ...the TR 3017 TR and the one that fits the Roadster is TR 3017 (no tr after it).
