After much logging and some dyno time I have come to the conclusion that all 20776/20773 based tunes with the 2.5.5 version of TuneECU that I have ever worked with have an anomaly at 5800 RPM and higher.

As a result I am pulling every TuneECU tune I have made down, and advising all owners to seek out other means (PC-V, Dobeck, Tuneboy) of tuning their bikes.

It doesn't require any changes to I or E. It was made using the stock intake and exhaust, it should also work with TORs, D&D, and Staintune without any issues.

A couple of examples of how this improved throttle response for me:

- Yesterday I was cruising down our main street at about 2600 RPM, snapped the throttle open from a steady cruise and the rear tire barked in protest. I have never heard it do that on any other tune I have installed in the bike.

- Two days ago I was in a parking lot in 1st and ripped it open from a steady speed (no clutch involved) of around 20 mph and laid very long black strip, again, never had this happen with any other tunes I have installed on my bike.

Sooo, it's 3 years later (talking Roadster here)

If I understand this thread(s) Clav, pulled back his tunes(tune ECU) for reasons of engine safety, however he and others spoke of great throttle response, laying down funny black marks at will. Unless I've taken it out of context, see above, it was done or can be done using stock intakes and exhaust.

Me, I want lot's of low end torque, quick to 80-90 mph, don't care after that, ( not too much)

Seems to me that Clav did a lot of work with ECU only to abandon it for Tune Boy I believe, yet everywhere I go on the forum, currently, in new posts it's first reccommendation is to tune your ecu with Tune ECU.
Download one of the many tune available from Hanso (get better soon and twist again!) or anybody that is willing to share a tune that is close to your set up, or proceed to PCV and get a dyno tune, or PCV+ Auto tune.

Further more I've read that Tune ECU had been modified, not sure if it resolved the issues above 5800 rpm.

So is there a tune available for Tune ECU with gobs of low end torque with the stock equipment?
Is the Power Tripp tune the beast?? I've seen where the Touring benefited greatly .

So what is the tune to use for stock improvements?

Ha Ha, this thread will wake up some:roll:

I've decided to go fishing instead of riding today:laugh: Might have something to do with the 1.33 inches of rain we got today:confused:

Only one reason and one reason only that 99% of the people on this or any other forum use TuneECU over Tuneboy is the price :D it is hard to beat free, I have Tuneboy for my 2005 Rocket but use TuneECU for my 2011 roadster.

If you are really genuine about the performance you claim to wantmid range in mind, then pay for a proper ,good dyno tune. All these canned tunes are hit and miss. Each bike varies a lot for a start. There is no "drop in" tune which will work just right. Many are better than stock, but the best result is to get the sucker tuned properly. It does not matter if you use tune ecu, tuneboy or a PC V, so long as it is done properly. The bike will not really know what is used to adjust it. There is my fish bait.
