Stock Triumph windshied versus Clearview

16" 7jurock, cheap. Clear, no lip. Ships quick. Tried the smoke with lip and prefer the clear straight. They make it taller or shorter. It depends on weather you want to see over or ride behind the shield.

7JuRock - TRIUMPH ROCKET III CLASSIC, ROADSTER AND TOURING (DUAL HEADLIGHT) REPLACEMENT WINDSHIELD

The 7 jurock is the way, IMO and I have used bothe stock and Clearview as well.
Personally I like the top re-curve as it adds height to the airflow and allows me to run a tad shorter shield.
NO turbulence up to 140 mph.

Well, you're in the R3 Touring forum and it comes with a shield and lowers.

I did buy a Clearview to get hit a couple of inches wider and taller (uses the stock screen hardware) and it's not objectionable at all to tour on. Maybe even a bit too efficient in the summer, it can get warm.

what is the most EFFECTIVE windshield for blocking wind that is better than the Triumph Shield? The wind from this about blows ya off the bike. Go ahead and blast me as a wimp, I'm an OLD Goldwing rider and not used to being beat up. Anyone have a Clearview for sale if it's a better choice? BE NICE GUY"S
Just put the clearview on mine, with the vent, I am 6'8", most of the height is from the waist up, so I ride real tall in the saddle - even with the tallest windshield they make I can still see over it, but it's a vast improvement over the sport screen - don't forgo the vent - this bike is a toaster in the warmer weather

Is that a stock Roadster screen? Most of what you are feeling is likely turbulence coming around and under the screen. Look into the factory lowers to help with buffeting.

Indeed, the lowers as seen stock on current R3T's make a huge difference in under-blast. IN FACT, I have ridden H-D's latest 2017 Road Glide and Street Glide setups, and there is LESS below-screen blast on my R3T than either of those fancied-up H-D fairing bikes (which one would think would be really smooth in the anti-turbulence dept. But "fake!", they're not really as "isolating" of turbulence as you'd guess when looking at 'em. I got right back on my R3T, thinking as always, "This is really quite a machine for the bucks" - and it really is.)

Yep put your energy into finding the lowers. I have a couple different lengths windscreens and depending on how hot it is each does a great job as long as the lowers are in place. Without the lowers the windscreen hardly matters. And don't try to cheat the lower by using just the Chrome that extra plexiglass size difference matters. Good luck

I just installed a 19" tall (+4" width, recurve and vent) Clearview on my R3T and took it out for a 175 mile test run today. Absolutely love it! The stock shield was too short and i'd get blasted with wind, most noticeably on Freeway/Highway at higher speeds. I havent tested the Clearview on the super slabs yet, but i assume it will be fine.
