Does anyone know if an AIT sensor from another brand of vehicle works with the Rocket (see attached file)? I am working to install one in the front of a ram air scoop, exposed to the elements, and the OEM sensor looks too sensitive to use. I would also like to move the air pressure sensor from the OEM air box to the inside of the ram air box, but want to install without screws to hold in place (prefer to mount in rubber grommet like the AIT sensor (see attached file). Are they also interchangeable with other vehicles? Any suggestions?

I have just installed pods into my 2016 Roadster and gutted the air system the same as you would for installing "Ramair". In order for the AIT sensor to reach the spot between the 2nd and 3rd throttle body, I cut the wire and soldered and heatshrunk it so it was long enuff. The "Ramair" comes with an extension for this but when installing pods you gotta think outside the square. To protect the sensitive bulb on the end of the AIT sensor, I purchased a small filter for a few bucks and cable tied it in place. This may be a way you could use the existing sensor for your application?

This is what I am planning to install. I see that I have to extend the wiring to both sensors, so I figured I might be able to add smaller sensors instead of the OEM sensors. I plan to install the AIT just inside the mouth opening to get the coolest air and the pressure sensor below and between the last two inlet trumpets. Plan on installing a foam panel filter along the widest portion ridge. Below are images from Marcello's (folks who make the intake scoop).

Should do the trick nicely......:)

So that also replaces the entire bear claw cover?
If so, is that Marcello scoop going to be something that they will make more of for others to buy?
Looks really good Lee

Yes he has two left, but will make more if people are interested. These are the Carpenter scoops we discussed last year. Marcello's Auto Body Shop in New Jersey makes them. I bought one last week and should receive it end of week. Seems an easy install, just trying to figure where to plug in the sensors. He can provide them finished and ready to install (less filter), or gel coated and you finish it yourself. I chose to buy an unfinished one and will complete the project myself. I think he said they cost between $490-$590 (depending on paint choice) delivered to you, finished and ready to install. Since mine was not finished, I paid a bit less than that. I think I got a good deal as he asked me not to disclose my price. He will also make them in carbon fiber. If interested, call and talk to Marcello (856.767.8448). He is a very nice gentleman and seems knowledgeable about drag racing. I think he worked with the Carpenter team on the Silverback project and makes custom fiberglass/carbon bodies for drag racers.
I will crank up another post with pictures as I progress on this project.
