Just Installed A Tachometer On My R3T

I admit the glare can be an issue, but I refer to the speed reading on my GPS most of the time. I do like the big shiny binnacle that the speedo is in, and I lavish much polishing on it. After all....chrome is chrome. And the more the better.

Rocket is the first bike I've ever owned with a gas tank mounted speedo, or any other type of display. In the past, I always avoided bikes with tank mounted displays. So, I agree with you all. It's not a desirable location for me either. I have learned to live with it, though, and you're also correct.....chrome is chrome.... the more, the better... Russell

The grass is always greener on the other side boys ............. :D
Many of my Key-Less inquiries come from Roadster (or std) owners who find it really awkward to have reach over the instruments and down to reach the key - and it is especially awkward with a screen or even just the little nose cowl fitted

You're right. I don't have to complain about those things. Good point.

Does anyone know of a smaller, let's say discreet digital tach? Triangu lar would be great, I kinda know what speed I'm at with the feel of the bike,so I don't constantly have to look down at the speedo,(I agree, sometimes Im not comfortable moving my eyes that far down in a group of cagers)it would be easier to see a small tach on the bars, I would learn rpms and gears etc. For my speed,

Koso makes a ton of products including a variety of small digital tachs in various sizes and shapes. They have gages of all types. My personal preference is an analog or needle style gauge. You can check out their site at kosonorthamerica or browse the PDF. I can't speak, towards the installation but a couple looked like the same basic install when I was looking for a tach.

Thanks for the lead,I'll follow it up

The one thing I didn't like about my R3T is I had no way of knowing the RPM , oil pressure or water temperature until now. Today I installed a Garmin EcoRoute HD. It plugs into the diagnostics plug & sends all the engine data to the Garmin 2797 via Bluetooth. The GPS lets you configure each gauge to display any data you want.

So it would appear you also have the GiPRO gear position indicator, which on my bike connects to the diagnostic plug.

How do you get both ?
